Mortality Past and Present: John Graunt's Bills of Mortality (Part Three)

Thursday, 29 November 2012 - 3:00pm
Barnard’s Inn Hall

This event marks the 350th anniversary of the publication of John Graunt’s London Bills of Mortality in 1662.

Part Three: How do we build extended longevity into our visions of the future?

The symposium concludes with a panel discussion where representatives from the Government Actuary’s Department and the Office of National Statistics speak on how changing mortality patterns interact with contemporary policy and planning issues. The final word is given to Professor Jim Vaupel, whose keynote speech considers mortality and population health.
