Dr Andrew Burnett was the Deputy Director of The British Museum until 2013. Formerly Keeper of Coins and Medals at the British Museum, Dr Burnett's major research work is his multi-volume/digital Roman Provincial Coinage, which looks at the coinages struck by subsidiary communities under Roman rule between the death of Caesar and the second century AD. He has published many coin hoards of Roman Britain. He is a Trustee of the Royal Armouries, Chairman of the Royal Mint Museum, and President of the Royal Numismatic Society.
