How far can technology go in the workplace?

John C Carrington is the Deputy Master of The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists. This lecture is a part of the 'Job changes in the 21st century' series. This series of lectures will look at major changes likely to take place in the workplace in the future, from a variety of different perspectives, and their implications. Presented by Professor Tim Connell, Fellow of Gresham College.

John C. Carrington has almost forty years experience at the leading edge of telecommunications. A pioneer in the development of international broadband telecommunications services in the early 1980’s, he has also played a key role in the development of cellular communications in the UK and Europe. John founded Cellnet (now O2), and Mercury PCN (now part of EE). Over the past fifteen years he has become more involved with software creation and solutions deployment.
