Professor Goldstein is Schlumberger Professor of Complex Physical Systems in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. He is also a Fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge.
Professor Falconer is Professor of Pure Mathematics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. He is a member of the Analysis Research Group of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
