Dr Caroline Potter

As a specialist researcher in French music since Debussy, Dr Potter has published widely and is frequently invited to give talks at other universities and for organisations such as the Gergiev Festival (Rotterdam), ABC Australia and the BBC. Since the publication of her book on Henri Dutilleux in 1997, she is recognised as the leading authority on this composer; in February 2008 she was involved in the BBC/Cardiff University 'Discovering Dutilleux' weekend, appearing on Music Matters and Performance on 3 (Radio 3), and in September 2009 she was a featured speaker at the opening concert of the London Symphony Orchestra's season. She also researches in the field of music and gender studies and recently published a monograph on Nadia and Lili Boulanger.
