Mea Wade

Mea Wade is currently in her first year of postgraduate study at the Royal Academy of Music studying with Celia Nicklin, generously supported by the Nora Seary Trust. Prior to this Mea studied at Kings College London where she gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography.   Having a passion for travel and music has meant that Mea Wade has been given numerous opportunities to perform and participate in courses around the world Quebec, Melbourne,  Cyprus and an exciting project at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games working with other artists in outdoor performances around the city.    She has performed in numerous RAM ensembles such as, the Symphony Orchestra under Trevor Pinnock, Edward Gardner and Mitsuko Unschida, recorded a Frank Zappa CD for the artists 80th Birthday Celebrations and worked on the world premiere of Peter Maxwell Davies Opera Kommilitonen. She has recently worked in France with Orchestra Regionale de Cannes, and is preparing for a summer tour of Albert Herring with Shadwell Opera.
