Professor John Bynner

Professor BYnner was Director of Longview from 2005-2010. Before that he was Director of the Centre for Longitudinal Studies, Institute for Education, University of London, from 1998-2003, leading the Centre’s work on the National Child Development Study (NCDS) and the 1970 British Cohort study (BCS70).

Previous posts in the Institute of Education include Director of the Bedford Group for Lifecourse and Statistical Studies; Executive Director of the Centre for Research on the Wider Benefits of Learning, and first Director of the National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy (NRDC).
