Professor Linda Woodhead MBE FBA
Linda Woodhead MBE FBA is F.D.Maurice Professor in Moral and Social Theology in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, King’s College London. She is an expert on contemporary religion, spirituality, and values in Britain. Recent books include Messy Methods in Researching Religion (ed. with Cadman and Graham, 2025), Gen Z, Explained (with Katz, Ogilvie and Shaw 2022) and That Was the Church That Was: How the Church of England Lost the English People (with Andrew Brown, 2016).
Linda Woodhead was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. She has been a visiting professor at Stanford University, CTI Princeton, University of Münster, University of Bern, University of Hannover, University of Aarhus, and Ateneo de Manila, Philippines. She holds honorary doctorates from the Universities of Uppsala, Zurich and Agder. Linda is a frequent contributor to radio and television.
