Professor The Lord Robert Winston

Lord Robert Winston, Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College, London University, is a world-renowned and widely respected fertility expert, best known for his series of award winning BBC programmes which include The Human Body, Secret Life of Twins  and Superhuman. His extensive contributions to clinical medicine include the development of gynaecological microsurgery, the first human ‘test tube baby’ in 1978 and the first successful experimental fallopian tube and ovarian transplant. His latest ground breaking research has pioneered techniques in the transfer of germ cells between males to enable male surrogacy.
