Robert Barrington

Before becoming the Director of External Affairs at Transparency International UK, Robert Barrington was previously Director of Governance & Sustainable Investment at F&C Asset Management, and CEO (Europe) of the environmental research group Earthwatch Institute. At Transparency International, the world’s leading anti-corruption organisation, Robert is responsible for ensuring that corruption stays at the forefront of the national agenda in the UK, and promoting the highest standards of integrity for UK-based organisations operating overseas. He was a member of the Experts Group drafting the official guidance on the Bribery Act, and has recently overseen a research project on Corruption Risk & the City for the City of London Corporation. Robert is a member of the University Court of Oxford Brookes University and formerly a member of the board of The Environment Council and the Advisory Committee of the UK Export Credits Guarantee Department. Until recently, he was an Honorary Visiting Fellow at Oxford University, where he ran a lecture series on corporate & medical ethics at Green Templeton College.
