Karl Pearson, as well as being the Gresham Professor of Geometry was also the author of nearly 400 works on mathematics, a socialist, the writer of a passion play, a technologist, an engineer, author of a romance novel, a germanophile, an engineer, an atheist and a feminist. Dr Eileen Magnello's lecture discusses the lectures, but also paints a picture of a dynamic man and electrifying educator who is completely at odds with modern conceptions of the Victorians.
