St John’s College is located on Durham’s historic peninsula within the UNESCO World Heritage site. Please enter through the main College entrance at 3 South Baliey.

By Car

The College is accessible by car; however, it is situated within a restricted access area subject to a congestion charge imposed by Durham County Council. This charge applies from 10:00am to 2:00am daily (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day) and must be paid online either in advance or within 24 hours of your visit. Please note that St John’s College does not have on-site parking, and parking on the peninsula is extremely limited.

By Train

Durham Train Station is located less than a mile from the College.
