Young Audiences and News: Redefining the news from “Online-First" to "Social-First"
Young audiences (aged 18–24) across the world have a 'social-first' news diet, bypassing traditional publisher sites for social and video platforms. like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. As news interest, particularly among young audiences declines, how should journalism think about the role it plays in society and its ability to build communities with a shared, equitable and valuable information ecosystem for all?
