Highlights this month include the final lecture in Visiting Professor John Mullan’s series, The Powers of the Novel: Villains in the Novel will look at examples from Dickens, Thomas Hardy, Wilkie Collins and Hilary Mantel among others.

We also will host the annual Lord Mayor's lecture, People and Purpose; Putting Positive Impact at the Heart of Economic Growth. Panellists will include the pioneer of impact investing, Sir Ronald Cohen; chair of the Impact Investing Institute Dame Elizabeth Corley and Tony Burdon, CEO of Make My Money Matter. 

Other highlights include a lecture on the law surrounding Freezing Eggs and Delaying Fertility by Professor Imogen Goold, and The Beginnings of Protestantism in Asia by Gresham Professor of Divinity, Alec Ryrie. 

We are also thrilled to welcome two guest lecturers who will shine a light on the state of the media, trust and fake news: Social Media and COVID: Fighting Disinformation by Professor Philip Howard, and What Can We Learn from Fakes? by Professor Patricia Kingori.
