Gresham Professors Inspire at London Careers Festival
Last week, the City of London welcomed Gresham College Professors and students to a special careers event as part of the City Insights & London Careers Festival, a city-wide initiative designed to introduce young people to the wide range of career opportunities connected to the Square Mile.
Held in collaboration with partners across the City of London, the festival brings together businesses, educators and industry professionals to help students explore future pathways through workshops, insight sessions and interactive activities.
During the session, students had the opportunity to hear directly from Emerita Professor of Geometry and former Provost Sarah Hart, plus Physic Professors Martin Elliott and Robin May.
The event encouraged pupils to ask questions, consider different routes into employment, and gain a clearer understanding of the many sectors that make up London’s dynamic economy.
Gresham Schools Co-ordinator Jason Clapperton said: "This was a great day, part of a city-wide event which aims to inspire young people towards careers in fields such as finance, technology, and medicine.
"For us, it formed part of our ongoing commitment to connect students to education , real-world knowledge and experience."
