End of Academic Year Appeal 2026

Two hands holding a lit lightbulb

The summer is the best time to reflect on and celebrate what has been achieved over the course of another active academic year.

Our year in numbers adds up to an impressive programme of sharing knowledge that is open and accessible to all:

  • 91 free public lectures delivered by leading scholars
  • 10,662 people attended lectures in person
  • 7.3 million views of lectures online
  • 200+ young people found their voice through the Young Orator of the Year competition
  • 10 lectures delivered directly to schools, enriching young minds

These achievements are made possible by the continued support of the Gresham College community who attend in person and online.

What brings us together is not just the spark of curiosity or a desire for deeper understanding but, perhaps more than anything, because we all share in the joy of learning for its own sake.

For nearly 430 years, Gresham College has offered free public lectures, championing the belief that knowledge should be open and accessible to all.

If you would like to help us continue that tradition of enriching people’s lives, please consider a donation to help make a lasting difference.

"I've really enjoyed my four years as a Gresham Professor, sharing ideas, discoveries, and a love of learning with so many curious minds. With lectures free for everyone, wherever you are in the world, Gresham College has been astounding and delighting audiences for over four centuries. Today, millions watch to learn about everything from dragons to black holes. Thank you for helping us provide a first-class education, where passion for learning is the only entry requirement."
