The Victorian period was a time of massive change for London, not least in the development and availability for university-level mathematics. This lecture investigates the changes that took place, highlighting some of the famous mathematicians involved, and comparing their teaching styles and the courses they offered at a wide variety of teaching establishments across the capital between 1837 and 1901.
