Amelia Spackman

Amelia Spackman is a strategy and propositions leader at Lloyds Banking Group, where she balances commercial, regulatory and customer outcomes for several of the Group’s priority populations. She has translated strategy into deliverables adopted across the business, and led the Group's financial education agenda for students including a partnership that has delivered over 10,000 lessons to young people and initiatives that have put more than £100,000 directly into students' pockets. She has led the Group's London women's network, running a programme of over ten events a year for 2,000+ members.

Before joining Lloyds, she gained a CELTA qualification as an English language teacher in Vietnam and London, planning and delivering classes, developing the public speaking, presentation and adaptability skills that continue to underpin her stakeholder and leadership work today. Over an eight-year career at Lloyds since, she has moved through strategy, propositions, project delivery and customer-risk disciplines - from regulatory programme delivery, through complaints and conduct remediation, to her current strategic leadership role - consistently being entrusted with ambiguous, high-visibility mandates and cross-functional teams.

She holds a BA in Linguistics and Spanish (University of Melbourne), an advanced diploma in Banking & Finance, and a CELTA. She is passionate about the impact of education, and an avid Gresham fan.
