Christopher Seow

Christopher Seow is a Visiting Fellow in Operations and Sustainability at Cass Business School (UK) and Visiting Professor in Service Operations and Sustainability at Hainan University (China). A specialist in process improvemnt in service experience and reducing waste and carbon/water footprint in the supply chain, he has over 25 years experience in teaching, publishing and communicating business ideas and practices across Europe and the Far East and is a master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma Quality and Operational Excellence. Malaysian born and a permanent UK resident, he has a broad understanding of the cultural sensibilities of both regions and is a frequent speaker and contributor to academic institutions in Hong Kong and Malaysia on themes of green supply chain and sustainability.

Christopher is a longstanding member of both the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Operations Management and the Editorial Advisory Board of Business Process Management Journal. He has guest edited seven special issues in journals since 2003 and is currently lead guest editor of Decision Sciences Journal issue on "Responsible Purchasing and Supply Practices".

As a former Chairman (2008-2010) of the City of London Branch of the Chartered Management Institute and its current Vice-President, he is a commited advocate for management and leadership excellence. In addition to organising many high-profile events during his tenure, he also established the first 'twinning' of CMI branches by linking the City of London with Hong Kong and Singapore CMI branches. He is a Fellow of the RSA, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of World Traders, a Freeman of the City of London and a member of the judging panel for the Women in the City's Woman Achievement Award.
